I saw one of these on the TV show Modern Marvels this weekend. I was really blown away by this and felt I should share. Its a real quick video and worth a look..

I think you can buy one of these for 600,000 dollars :)

That’s impressive Dan, but not as impressive as this one. There is something a little disturbing about a walking machine.

Andy, that walking machine is something out of a science fiction movie… It looks like it has the same cutter head attachment as the John Deere though.

Its really fun watching just how fast these things can take a tree down, strip the branches and cut it into logs.

Wow, it was already awe inspiring with wheels but the walker is freaky!

If I could just borrow one for twenty minutes, that’d be cool. I could clear out my whole backyard of pine trees.

Mauricio – That’s got to be the coolest job in the forest. I got excited when I hired a digger and dug up my front garden, but I would love to get my hands on one of these, particularly if I got to keep the wood afterwards.

No gold. I did find an old horseshoe though. I told my neighbour she might want to move her car and she said, ”It’s ok, I trust you”. More fool you, I thought. LOL.

I did make it better after I’d had my fun. Here are some progress shots. I built all the double stone walls and the planter. All the walls are finished now and the plants are a lot more established.

Very nice, Andy! I recently had to pay some people an ungodly amount of money to dig up my sewer pipe and replace it. They left me with a big long patch of dirt in my front yard. :-)

Very nice Andy, so the sun does shine over there sometimes? ;-)

No grass, just gravel? Similar to the landscaping in the arid Southwestern states here. It’s all rocks and cacti (plural of cactus?). I wish I had that at my house, I’m not a fan of cutting grass.

I like the sone work, I bet that was a workout.
