A guy I know is selling wood that was cut, dried, and shrink wrapped to protect it from the weather. Anyway, someone was going to buy it and picked up all the wood. Apparently, he had toke all of the shrink wrap off and then decided he couldn’t pay for the wood and dumped the wood back where he got, which was outside in the woods on top of 2×4 boards. The walnut still seems to be in fair shape, not wet, and the board lengths are about 10 feet long, and the width ranges from 8” to 10”. The length of the cherry is about the same, and the width ranges from 6” to 8”. He is asking $3.50 per board foot for both walnut and cherry. I’m not for sure if this is a decent price or not. I’m asking to see what your opinion is. Right now the boards are stacked one board on top of the other, and undernieth tarp. Some of the boards are split in the middle for part of the length, and he said he would take that into concideration on price. Thanks for your thoughts and opinions. -- Behind every great man is his wife with rolling eyes. |
