The Steel City 35930 is essentially the same saw as the Craftsman 22116, so comments that pertain to one will often pertain to the other. Both have cabinet mounted trunnions, a one piece cast blade shroud, granite top, and a good steel Biesemeyer clone style fence.

Well, I suppose I could just “peel off” the Craftsman sticker on the front panel and pretend that it is another brand. -- "Of all the things I have lost in life, I miss my mind the most." |

Or you could read reviews and owner comments, and apply the mechanical related info to your research knowing the two saws have the same guts and come from the same plant. HTH. -- Happiness is like wetting your pants...everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.... |

I just posted a review of the Craftsman 22116 a few days ago. Please read that review. If you can live with, or correct, the mostly minor problems, you will find this is a really good saw. Of course, it all depends on what you can compare it to. If you buy it I would really like to know if you found the same problems, and what you think of the saw overall. -- dnick, North Hollywood, Ca. |
