Just finished setting up my new saw in the garage. I haven’t run it yet as I have to run 240 Volt power line over to it yet. Everything on this saw seems very heffty and well built. The built in router table should be a big plus. I’m looking forward to turning this thing on to see for myself what it’s like! I know some of you guys already have this saw and from what I hear from you is that your pleased with this model.

Congratulations on the purchase.

It should faithfully serve you for a long time. Make sure to get it running before the warranty runs out, Grizzly does have some issues with QQ.

I just got the 690 myself….how did your cleanup go? I read the manual and they said use WD-40 on the top and I’m assuming a lot of “wax on-wax off” elbow grease. What other tips for a new owner you got?

I have the 1023 and 690 back to back in my shop. The 1023 has plenty of power but I have been a little let down with the dust collection hose behind the blade. Even with a big Oneida Pro 2000 sucking the chips out, the hose seems to be easy to clog. Otherwise, a good performer.

hey boardsmith – Is your 1023 the new model with the serpintene belt?

If so, since your running both saws, If you had to make a choice by picking just one – which one would it be?

Have your say...
