Topic tags/keywords: tenonong jig

I got this with a Jet mortiser and have never used it and don’t have any use for it. Any reasonable offer accepted but the shipping may be high as this thing is very heavy. Send me a pm if you’re in need of this tool.

i use my shaper to make tenons or a router. if it is heavy enoungh you could use it for a boat anchor but i guess someone may want it for what its intended for.

I’ve got the Rockler version which I believe is similar. I’ve used it a couple of times but the learning curve was a bit steep for a dull tool like myself. There are a lot of adjustments and stops for those who like to tinker. It’s a popular unit, so I’m sure there’s some interest here. Mine is awful heavy, though. Good luck!

Andy, have you tried putting a listing on Craigslist to sell the mortiser? I have had good luck selling things I do not use on craigslist…and best of all it is free to list for sale items. You just have to be wary of some of the scam artists that view this and other sites. In fact, I have a Powermatic mortiser, a Dewalt Scroll saw, a tenon jig, a Festool RAS and a bosch slider that I am getting ready to sell and Craigslist will be my first choice to list them for sale

Greg, I sell a lot of ‘stuff’ on CL but I have to get someone else to list it for me. I just thought if a LJ wanted it, I’d give them first choice. I’m not selling the mortiser. I’m selling the tenoning jig. It is definately heavy enough for a boat anchor! (but I don’t have a boat)

I am interested could you send me a pic? Or a make and model number to allow me to look it up on the internet.

Dan, I’ll try to post a pic in the next couple of days if you’re still interested. This thing is heavy and I’m afraid the shipping will be prohibitive unless you are close.

Gfadvm,
Most of the jigs weight about 20 lbs I will check out UPS today to see if I can get an estimate. Do you have a make and model ?

Dan, There are no markings on this that I can find. I was told it was a Wood River when I got it. 20 pounds sounds about right. I may bey able to dismantle it where it will fit into a smaller box. UPS charges by weight andbox size. Thanks for your interest. Andy
