Not a bad deal. How do you like it so far?

Mark have not cut a thing but this jig is virtually brand new! I bought a Shop Fox hollow chisel mortiser but had to send it back due to damage, missing parts and poor factory quality inspection Shop Fox has one more chance to get it right. When I get cutting some tenons I will write a review on the jig and mortiser thanks for your interest Chipy.

You got a good deal, I hope you use it. I have one and it has been gathering rust and dust. I wish I had known then what I know now, I learned to cut the tenons by hand/bandsaw and it is much faster and safer than using the tenon jig. AT least for me, specially when you have a semi large piece let say 3 feet or more….

Did you pay $30, or $69.95 + $30 shipping?

First few times I read this, it looked like you paid $69.95 + $30 for shipping, but since that is way more than the new price I guess you meant you paid $30 total for something that is usually $69.95 + shipping. If that is the case, that is a good deal. I have been searching CL for “tenon jig” for a while and all of them I find in my area are priced higher than a new one.

That’s great. I have only made one CL purchase and it was a pretty good deal, but in a rural area like this there isn’t much that comes up on a regular basis unless I want to drive all day to get there and back.

I can’t really decide on whether I want a TJ, which is why I’d like to find a deal like you got. I can take the chance for $30 that I won’t want to use it, but hate to spend $80+ on a paper weight. Right now I use a dado blade on the table saw but would love to be able to avoid having to put the dado on then take it off for other work.

Let us know how it goes! :-)

Have your say...
