Topic tags/keywords: vivaro wood experiences

Has anyone ever worked with this wood before? I was at Rockler for an in-store sale on some really nice rustic and curly cheery and stumbled on to these huge 4/4 boards of Vivaro. I can’t wait to make a table from this stuff! The wood is super dense and weighs a great deal. I was lucky enough to get 16.5 inch by 12 ft board and another one that is about 13 inch by 11 ft. The guy I talked to about it said it works like Mahogany…

Any comments would be great. Thanks.

Thanks, Dick. Very helpful. I don’t have all my wood identification links on this particular computer so I really appreciate it.
