I seldom run into any decent wood w/o paying dearly for it but I’m pretty excited about my latest find. I snatched 5 church pews recently for $6.40. I did not really know what I was getting but it turns out to be a lot of oak. One pew was claimed by my lovely bride but I had to cut it down to 5’ long (14’ was just too long). Not sure what this wood will become but I’m eager to start working with it. The picture below shows one disassembled. Anyone else out there have the wood gods smile on them with a good deal? And what did you do with your new found lumber?
