I've decided to sell my worksharp 3000 after being brave and learning to sharpen by hand. Paul sellers inspired me to sharpen by hand and I'm glad he did. The worksharp works perfectly fine. It was used to sharpen a set of chisels and a few plane blades. It comes with an extra glass plate making 3. Comes also with the wide blade attachment and a course and honing paper assortment. Will take $225 + shipping or trade for some hand tools. Hand planes, hand saws, and anything else you might have. Thanks!
I think the problem is that they are $200 new, and a lot of people are making their own wide blade platforms and some are using MDF discs with buffing compound instead of the glass with sandpaper. You may have to take a lot less to sell a used one. More like $100. But that's just my unbiased opinion. (I have one, so I'm not trying to low-ball you or anything…)
That's true. Well it has the Wide Blade Platform which is $60 additional, plus the extra sandpaper kits at $15 a piece + the extra wheel at $20. So it's around $310 if you bought all that new. It hasn't been used much at all. Someone make me an offer.
