I got tired of paying big money for pulls so I decided to make my own. I have worked with laminates before in boat building so this was not as hard as it might seem. I like the contrasting woods, in this case mahogany and maple. Any will do, as long as you like it. The jig for trimming is a simple sled that can be used for lots of small cuts at the table saw. The fun part was making the vertical drawer pull, the one that was cut into 3 pieces. When doing the glue up make sure that you use enough clamps. For 19” long pulls I use about 10 clamps.

Thin wood can be used to make lots of fun things. Most of this was scrap from other projects.

Very creative and very cool.
