Topic tags/keywords: door pull cabinet draw pull question pine design designing

Hey LJs,
I’m want to know a design you would pick for a pine cabinet’s door pull. I plan on making my own (wooden of course). So if you have any designs that might match A pine (clear pine, that is) that is preferably made of wood tell me.
Even if you cant come up with one wooden tell me your other ideas.

Yanky – I get my ideas for pulls from the box stores and my Lee Valley hardware cataloge. You might start there.

Sticks and stones…leather straps…strange chunks of metal…one of best known woodworkers used a bent nail…old rope…new rope…rounded wood…squared wood…long wood…short wood…fat wood…skinny wood…stained…unstained…Had a buddy use a 3/8 round over bit on a 3/4 chunk of wood that ran along the bottom of the door, bumped up and out to form the handle then ran up the side of the door…kinda cool…
