Does anyone know of a source for decent material around the Billings, Montana area?
Years ago I could figure on about 15% additional material and that included waste and unusable boards. That figure creeped up to about 30% and stayed there for quite a few years but now I am finding it getting 50% and above. That includes both hard and soft wood.

Maybe in my old age I am simply too damned fussy and slow but I seem to be taking way too much time to finish my projects. I do use both power and hand tools when trying to dress down the lumber to finish material but some of that stuff NEVER stops moving around. Like trying to plow a field with a cheap mule.

Thanks in advance and am hoping to find a hint or two.

You might contact LJ Todd A Clippinger http:// www.americancraftsmanworkshop.com also from the Billings area.

Thank You very much JimF. Sorry for the delay. I don’t get on the computer all that much. I am such a relic that I am lucky to remember how to turn it on.

Have your say...
