I’m shaping 3 crescents that are unique to each other. my problem is getting a consistent surface on the inside curve. I’ve got a moderate case of lumpiness on that surface. The pieces are between 15 and 24 inches long, and are about 1.5 inches thick in the middle area.

any thoughts???

How were they cut and what have you tried to smooth the curve?
Is this a one-off or are you making several of these?

How about creating a template and using a flush trim bit to smooth the profile?

I’ve also used
  1. a microplane drum on my drill press
  2. belt sander
  3. sanding drum on my drill press
