Topic tags/keywords: rockwell 37-220 jointer

Scored a vintage jointer off the Craiger last night and i finally wrestled it into the house this afternoon after 8 wonderful hours of painting trim. Anyway here she is a Rockwell / Delta 37-220 6” Deeee-luxe Jointer.

The story behind it goes as such … the guy i bought it off ofs mother in-law was the shop teacher at a local high school and when they upgraded the equipment she took this one. She didnt end up using it and gave it to her son in law who stored it in his shed for a few years.

Theres a newer 3/4 hp 1725 rpm dayton motor and electrical connection. I havent loooked too much further into it but its getting a good WD40 soak right now.

$240

Thanks Larry , its my first joiner and want to treat it well. From what i read bearing and pulley replacement may be in order. I dont know if i want to leave the battlescars on it or repaint it yet.
