Hey gang, the local CL has a 6” Rockwell / Delta Jointer with a 46” bed for sale for $250 which i thought was a pretty good deal. The owner tells me that the motor has been replaced with a 3/4 HP Dayton 1725 RPM motor …. looking around at soem others 1 HP seems like the norm on 6” models. I cant seem to find any info on the RPM of the motor, most are posted with the RPM of the cutterheads.

So is it a good buy or should i hold out a bit longer?

From what i have read on the net, it seems like the rpm on the motor is fine as long as the pulleys are the correct size? I guess i could always replace the pulleys right?

Christef, I’d look at it. If it’s a user as it is, grab it. Vintage Machinery.org has the/a manual. Good luck . -Jack
