I’m in the process of making a router extension wing for my Ridgid R4511 TS. I’ve sandwiched 3/4” MDF together and topped it with laminate flooring (tough, smooth and good looking), then edge banded on 3 sides with 4/4 birch. I’m having troubles deciding how to attach it to the fence rails (original OEM fence for now).

For the back rail, I could just drill holes right through it and attach to the extension I made, but the front rail has me stumped as well as if/how to secure it to the granite top. Does anyone have pics or suggestions on how to do this? My inclination is that I will have to fabricate some sort of mount out of steel which would bolt to the bottom of the front rail so that it doesn’t interfere with the fence, but I’m hoping to hear of a much more simple solution.

Thanks in advance!

This might help although I have the 3650.
