Hey guys. a bit late but Happy New Year to all. I just came across a release from Kilian carbide turning tools from Knotsburls (similar to easy tools) . Any of you used this type of tool on segmented turnings ??? Comments appreciated. Keep smiling John

Virtually all of my laminated turnings have been done with a shop made carbide tipped turning tool.
I use the easywood inserts.

WOW – This may be a great discovery.

I’m an Easy Tools fan, but I have always thought they were a little overpriced. These appear to be much more reasonably priced and they may be just as well made (don’t know yet).

People need to note that these prices are for the tools without handles. You can buy a very good pre-make handle for $20-25 or you can turn your own for even less.

Have your say...
