Hey all,

I just wanted to say a quick hello and also a thank you for those of you who posted “welcome to the forum” messages on my profile page.

This seems like a great site and I look forward to interacting with everyone. As for me and woodworking, I grew up with a hammer in my hand (my dad was a handyman/carpenter/plumber/electrician or “jack of all trades, master of none” as he used to say.) So, I had a lot of exposure when I was young, mostly on job sites but any free time was spent in the shop.

Woodworking is a hobby of mine and my greatest feat to date is tricking my wife into believing that houses don’t have garages, they have “attached shops.” This has allowed me to turn my two car attached garage into a decent “permanent” workshop.

I have built a few projects but my latest project is an almost complete bedroom set for my son (well, dresser and bedside table…..bed will follow shortly) and I will be posting pics soon.

Cheers,

Adam

P.S.> If there is anyone in the Vancouver area of the Lower Mainland, I am looking for a sawyer so that I can get a more affordable supply of hardwood
