Has anyone ever used Solar Lux Jet Black dye on Red oak? I have a customer that I am making a redoak project for and they want it finished with Jet black solar lux dye and laquer topcoat

Most black dyes are very dark purple or brown. Try some water or alcohol base India ink for a true black

I’d agree with Jim. India ink will give you a true black. Charles Neil adds it to a pre-mixed finish to up the intensity in this video.
