Okay, I will try to keep this simple. I am having a heck of a time with Amazon’s descriptions, and Pillow Block bearings that I can find locally are heinous in price. So I figured who better than Lumberjocks to tell me what will work…

I am planning on a 5/8” shaft diameter (I already have the smooth rod), and would like a good quality bearing without breaking the bank. Base mount please…

What do you guys and gals suggest for this application? Make and model / item number would help a LOT… Thanks!

Not a bad price above, but you could get them cheaper if you watch.
I just picked up three 1” ID pillow blocks with bearings for $20 shipped from ebay.

I would recommend the cast iron block and the grease zerks aren’t a bad idea either.

Cool. I hadn’t thought of Ebay… I haven’t used them in so long I don’t remember how to log in to my account… Guess I need to reset it…
