So my stuff should probably be in a museum, but it still works.
My setup includes the old 8” Makita 2708 dropped into a Rousseau PortaMax 2700XL stand.

I love the stand. It’s sturdy, accurate and can be folded and tucked away in no time. I also have the extension wings which allow ripping 49”.

The trouble I have is with finding parts for my Table Saw. I’ve been contemplating getting a replacement tablesaw but according to the fitment guide, the other compatible geezer table saws aren’t a) likely in any better condition than mine b) no longer available.

One hope (beyond modifying the stand) is to find another saw fitting the maximum 24-1/2-inches deep and 27-inches wide.

Anyone using the Rousseau 2700XL?

Geez, it’s worse than I thought. No hits! Actually I got about the same level of response on google, so not too surprising. Guess most folks here are cabinet saw jocks. Maybe one day when I grow up…. ;)

Not using one, but sure like the concept. As long as you can make stuff, it does no matter how you do it.

Have your say...
