I have had the above lathe for about 15 years. It has had very little use. Now that I am retired I want to use it. The variable speed does not appear to be working correctly. I do not notice any speed change when I increase speed. I removed the housing and the belt looks and feels brand new. I cannot find any information as to how it works, adjustments or maintenance. Any help or direction would be appreciated.

You can get a PDF of the users manual from dewalt service net dot com…or I have a copy I can email you

You can request manuals direct from Delta at their website. I just requested one for a 46-541. I have not received it yet but the request was made. Parts blowups are also on line, right down to the retainer screws. Good luck, my version is out of manufacture and many parts are simply not available.
