I finally found a good “full size” lathe, I have been playing with my mini shopfox for a couple of years now unfortunately I also knew I could never rationalize spending nearly a thousand dollars for what my wife considers a “toy”.

So I checked Craigslist every week and my number finally came up.

Take a look

The only problem is that the tool rest has a pretty substantial chip in it and I can’t find any idea what the size of the post on the rest is.

The other thing I have been looking for is a diy solution for doing outboard turning.
