OK, so it’s not that big a deal. I’ve been watching the threads on making chisel planes and thought, (in a faintly lucid moment), that I could make one too. So I did. Then while putting it together and adjusting the iron, the mallet slipped, hit the wedge and the iron slipped out sideways. That was bad enough, but then…... I didn’t want the iron to crash on to the miter saw parked nearby, so, Like a dummy, I reached out to catch the iron. Bad idea. The iron, the miter saw and I arrived at the same time in the same place. The iron hit the saw on the back end, bounced up and purposely took a chunk out of the tip of my thumb. I swear it a conscious act on the part of the chisel. It may have been a finely orchestrated plan between the saw and the chisel to do me bodily harm! It was a Conspiracy! I tried to take a picture, but I’m left handed and the camera doesn’t seem to work right with my right hand. I wonder if it in on the conspiracy too!
