I just got this important message from Dr Larry “loungelizard” Williams informing me of my good fortune. I guess I was just lucky they found me cause they addressed it to “Dear Sir / Madam” Apparently I was ”Adviced to recomfirm” too. ==================================================================== - Dr. Larry. Bob, if I cashed in all of those mails that I get, I’d be worth about $2 billion. I’ve been offered more money than is in the whole continent of Africa. -- Tim -- http://tmuli.com |

Hi Bob Interesting post – The LJ message advising me of your posting was put into my Junk/Spam mail box (not normal, in fact the first time ever) – There is something in the text that you copied from the original mail that my system does not like and it seems to have travelled with the LJ mail. Clever people who make these spam mails, in getting information out of your system. Be warned people, do not even read this type of junk mail – the damage has been done before you know it. I am getting around 50 junk mails a day at the present time. I would like to get hold of these people (spammers) and process them through some of my machines in the shop, but I am sure that there “thick skins” would damage the blades of the machines, and I am afraid to think what there “Hard Heads” would do to them! -- Tony - All things are possible, just some things are more difficult than others! - SKYPE: Heron2005 (http://www.poydatjatuolit.fi) |

On spam emails that I can get the return address for, I will sometimes insert that email address instead of my own for other spam emails. So hopefully they get crap mail too. I have also filled the form they request out before with some colorful words in the name, address, and comments box.(maybe I’m spending too much time on the computer or getting to old and grumpy) I would also like to mail an old dead fish in some of the return envelopes from junk snail mail. -- Kirk H. -- http://www.kjwoodworking.com |

Tony: ++++++++++++++++Most of the spam filters work by searching for strings of characters. In a perfect world we would hunt them for sport. <g> Lee, lets’ face it , we are just lucky kinna guys I guess! <g> Cheers Bob -- A mind, like a home, is furnished by its owner |

There is some pretty funny stuff on the internet about these scams. And these guys who like to play games with these fools These people are criminals and they certainly don’t care if you send them return mail full of colorful words -- Scott - Chico California http://chicowoodnut.home.comcast.net |

I just set up a GMail account and forward all mail from my ISP to my GMail address. GMail has some pretty good spam filters – in two weeks, I think three spam messages out of probably 200-300 slipped through. Then I just download my email as usual from GMail. Works great and I don’t have to look at/manually delete all of the BS! Jim They say it is tourist season here in Maine, but I have yet to discover where I have to go to get a license. |
