I’ve had one eye out (it’s okay. I have six or eight eyes, altogether) for a used ShopVac, for quite a while. I want to dedicate one as DC for the RAS, the CMS, and the band saw.

Last night, I checked CL, and saw an ad posted only minutes before. A barely-if-ever used, 6.5HP, 16Gal, stainless steel ShopVac, with built-in dolly, and all accessories, for $50.

SNAG !

I picked up a CleanStream HEPA filter, but … when I opened up the ShopVac … it was immaculate. I’m not sure it’s ever been used, at all :-)

Sucker (yeah: pun intended) retails at $160

Isn’t it beautiful ? I mean … seriously ! It looks like R2D2, for cryin’ out loud ….

Nice score!

It speaks in low tones, Charlie, but … if you get close enough to figure out what it’s saying … it tries to kiss you, and won’t let go ;-)

Charles: I’ll run some hose your way. Pretty sure it would clean your shop from Arkansas ;-)

Just a small question…. How do you get 6.5 HP out of 15 – 20 amps @ 125V?

Dallas: I don’t. The manufacturer does.

And they usually do it by lying.

12A rated draw should equate to just shy of 2HP, but … they use “peak” HP as a relative indicator.

I just calls ‘em as I sees ‘em ;-)

Dan: I like the jointer, but the BS and the TS look like they’d fall right over….

That shine is blinding. I’d be taking a portrait & putting it in my living room!
That is truly a “score”.
