Topic tags/keywords: attaching files to posts

Ok, I searched and found some 200+ day old stuff that pretty much says it cannot be done .. recommends using third party share sites and connecting via a URL link … is this still the case? I am specifically curious about attaching a sketchup file. Thanks.

I just searched for a out thirty minutes, and I have no idea.
Photos no longer have to be added from a third party site, they can be embedded directly into a post. I don’t know about sketchup though. I hope someone will come along and answer your question shortly.
I’m sorry I’m not more help. I only recently (as in three days ago) though got sketchup and am still leanring how to use it.

Yes, still true. Only pictures can be uploaded/embedded directly from your computer. For other files you have to use 3rd party hosting site.
