Delta 17-950L Drill Press

I bought a new Delta 17-950L drill press and the chuck key that came with it fits the chuck so poorly that it is hard to make work. I have not see any one talking about on line but a salesman at an industral supply company said they were all that way. Good drill press but I may have to buy a new chuck to get a key that fits.

rustynails home \| projects \| blog 355 posts in 697 days #1 posted 496 days ago	Give the sales guy a choice either he gets you a good chuck key or a least credits you for a replacement or tell him you would like a refund. Just because he settling for it does not mean you the consumer should. No one should settle for poor quality. Make it right or keep it!

The little spring “can’t leave it in the chuck” thing is – imho – slightly annoying because you have to hold it in a little more than an old style key, but other than that I don’t have any problems.
