Hello Fellas and Ladies,
This is first post after signing up. I am pleased to be joining all of you.
I am a weekend – and evening – woodworker. I recently sold two old bandsaws which now places me back on the market for a new (or used) bandsaw. My friends from Woodcraft are steering me toward a new Rikon 14” for about $850-$900 on sale. I am looking at a used Griz G0555p for about $425. There is also a Delta 14” in the area for sale at 495.00.
I do some resawing, but don’t really seem to need a riser (I just cut smaller rounds). I already own a Jet table saw, a Jet lathe, a Ryobi table top drill press, a DeWalt scroll saw, and a Ryobi grinder with a blue stone and a diamond wheel to sharpen my turning tools.
Lately I’ve been making pens, but I still make boxes, birdhouses, and the ever so infrequent piece of futniture from time to time, along with the turned and handcarved Christmas Snowman and Santa’s.
So please tell me, what do you recommend I do about fixing my need for a bandsaw?
Thanks ahead of time,
