POST NOW CLOSED, PLEASE SEE BOTTOM.

This is so Ridiculous it’s almost FUNNY!

I compose a PM. ....I click on “SEND”. .....My Screen starts going NUTS! .....I end up on “goisreal.com”.

A travel Agency for those who wish to go to Israel and.. see ”The Sites”.

”ISRAEL” .....”Come find the Israel in you.”

Who? ME?? Not Very Likely!! ..... (NO offence intended to the Jewish Members of LJ’s .)

Greeting me is a Picture of the ”Dead Sea”. The Lowest Place on the Face Of The Earth.

AND: In the Lower Left Corner is the ERROR MESSAGE ...... “e-mail error”

What e-mail? It’s an On Site Communication! How and Why, do I get Sent to Another Site, that has Nothing to do with THIS SITE

Another amazing thing is that it happened in the Blink Of An Eye! I didn’t even have time to hit “Alt-Ctrl-Delete”.

I guess I should be Thankfull it didn’t ”Leak” to Somewhere Else. A SECURE SITE? HUMMMMM?

Would you be so kind as to Explain how this could happen. PLEASE!

Thank You: Rick

PS: No! It has Nothing to do with MY Computer.

Using HTML, it’s possible to Redirect the user to a URL…

If the hacker inserted code that resulted in a Redirect command, you were Redirected…. NO HANDS… Bang… you were gone… to wherever… just like THAT…

Go to google, type in a search and click on the first link, if you get redirected you have a worm. There is a nasty one that tries in several different ways to take over your computer and part of it is that it likes to redirect you.

Unlesss It’s VERY WELL HIDDEN I don’t think it’s on here. In any event …THANK YOU for your Input!!

Hi Rick, it has to be some kind of virus on your computer. There are no forced redirects built into the LJ code.

Martin:

Thank you. After Posting this and reading the Comments I ran 4 different Scans to see if I could find something but nothing showed up.

Oh well maybe it was a “Glitch” that is now gone. It was the one and only time it has happened.

Thanks Again: Rick

TO ALL: This Post is now CLOSED i.e. I won’t be “Watching” it anymore and I DON’T like NOT replying to ANYONE who “Comments” on my Posts.

Thank You to ALL who did comment.
