Just curious if anyone else got a private message about voting for a t-shirt slogan. I’ve read about the contest and think it’s great. Not so sure I want to get e-mails/private messages asking me to vote though.

Can you do a mass mailing to LJ’s or did this person simply pick names and spend a lot of time sending individual private messages.

Got the same one Betsy. Not sure about your question though.

Me too. Someone has a lot of time on their hands if they sent those out one at a time.

I’m not adverse to being asked to vote for anything, but I’d prefer not to get private messages about it. I’d just as soon that the person would post a forum entry or a blog asking for votes.

He probably did not think about it, or maybe I’m just a too sensitive, delicate flower than got stepped on.

Hey, I got 2 quick complaints about this issue by PM and I contacted Rick immediately. He is very sorry and it wasn’t his intention to look like a “mass mailer”. I’ll send him link here so he can post publicly.

To answer your other question, Betsy. No, it’s not possible to do mass mailing here, you must pick names and send messages one by one.

Hello All.
I’m sorry for any upset I caused anybody. That was not my intention.
It probably would have been better to post a request in the coffee lounge and if it was deemed unacceptable the moderator would have deleted it and informed me that it was against LJ protocol. Unfortunately I didn’t think of that at the time.
Unlike spammers, I wasn’t trying to separate anybody from their money. I was simply asking for help from what I assumed were like minded people.
Well, you know what they say about assume.
I guess I’ll have to rethink my signature line because I sure do look stupid right now.
