After I purchased a folding boxwood ruler recently, I discovered that one of the segments is very slightly bowed. Is there any way to flatten a boxwood ruler?

you might be able to clamp it to a straight piece of wood with something as thin as 3 playing cards under the center for a little ’’back bow’’ then i would heat it lightly with a hairdryer,,,then put it over the steam of boiling water until the vapors build up and remove it. Leave it in the clamp somewhere for a day and see what happens when you take it out. dont sue me if it doesnt go good. (some luthiers fix warped instrument necks similar to this)

Have your say...
