Topic tags/keywords: vacation branson hotels shows

Me the wife and two teenagers are planning to head up to Branson for a few days this spring. I appreciate any advice on where to stay. Wife and I like a CLEAN sleeping environment, but budget is also a factor. Under $150/night if possible.

Also, love to hear what shows to go to. We went yrs ago when the kids were little so did more amusement park stuff then. This time we want to see the shows.

Thanks!

One way to get a cheap stay is to use one of the offers from the timeshare companies. There are quite a few of them. My wife and I did a two night stay in a nice apartment for a nice price (don’t remember the exact amount, but I think the final price for the room itself was only about $50 total for the two nights, after all the refunds, plus got coupons for specials at some of the shows). We did have to spend a couple hours listening to a sales pitch for the timeshare, but other than that it was actually a pretty nice deal for a really nice,clean room (king sized bed, sleeper sofa in the living room, fully equipped kitchen, jacuzzi in the bed room, 1 1/2 baths). The organization we used was Grand Crowne Resorts.

To tell the truth I am not really in to that kind of stuff, but they did everything they said they would so can’t complain about the company.

I”m not sure on where to stay as we stayed at a hotel that had a built in water park but it was more geared toward the younger kids. I can say I really enjoyed Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede it was a great show and a decent dinner. I would say that Silver Dollar city was pretty great also. Enjoy the trip.

Todd;

Timeshares are the way to go and save money.

+1 on the Dixie Stampede, we had a great time and enjoyed the show. Presley’s Country Jubilee was a lot of fun.

You have to have a meal or three at Sadies Sideboard on the main drag (HW 76) and “Obey the Buffet”. I have the t-shirt!

Here’s a map of all the Branson spots;

There is a lot of information on the Branson Tourism site also;

Last time I was down there we stayed at Hampton Inn. Pretty sure it was brand new or close to it, but those hotels are always clean and comfortable.

Stayed at the Radisson. It was worth the money, but the last two times we’ve went, we got a condo off of vrbo.com. It’s vacation rental by owner if you are not familiar with the site. It’s just so much nicer staying in a place that’s nearly like a house. The site also offers reviews on the places so if someone isn’t happy with their stay you will know about it.

I have heard the show six is supposed to be the #1 rated show currently. I also recommend the Chinese Acrobats. If you haven’t seen them, your jaw will be on the floor.

I also enjoyed Dixie Stampede. It’s highly commercialized though.

That’s all. Have fun.

Wow, the timeshare info is interesting. Will also check out Hampton and Raddison.

Thanks for all the info so far!
