A buddy at work gave me his Craftsman 17” Floor model Drill Press without the manual. I was wondering if someone had one? I would even pay someone to copy theirs and mail it to me. Thanks all.

If I had one, I would make a copy for you.

However, let me say that Drill Presses are a very basic tool and I am quite certain you will be able to figure everything out without a manual.

Some will say this is not necessary, but I will advise you to do something to secure your drill in place. They are top heavy and you don’t ever want for it to fall down. The most common method is to bolt them down. I build a bracket that connects to the top of the column (right below the motor) and connects to the wall.

Also – never put downward pressure on the table without having the table secured in place. That lifting mechanism alone, will not support the table if any downward pressure is exerted. Don’t ask me how I know that.

Good luck.

Don W gave you the link for the manual, and here is a link for parts if you need them. I have ordered many parts from them, for a belt sander, table saw, and a drill press. I recommend them highly. It’s also very easy to find the tool you need parts for.
