The title says it all, pretty much. Moonls, Dustbunny and I are attending all 3 days and staying in the Springfield area. Are any other LJs going and do you want to meet up for dinner Friday or Saturday evening? I know Purplev and Dusty56 are planning to attend… but those are the only LJs that we have heard from.

Last year we had an LJ booth… didn’t work out too well as there was really nothing to show… other than a few LJs and a computer with the website open. This year we are planning to take in all the workshops and all the other things we might have missed last year. It is pretty cheap to get in… but expensive to get out if you know what I mean!

The website for anyone looking for it is:

That’s so true about a cheap entry fee and being expensive to leave. I don’t know what day I will be attending the show and am looking forward in see other LJ there. Not everybody has a profile picture so for those that do I will see you at the show.

I’m thinking of using up a leftover vacation day to drive up for the first day of the show. Here in the NYC area, the show always seems to coincide with with my wife’s birthday and, being an experienced husband, I know which has top priority. However, I would probably not have time for dinner as I need to be back in NYC by the end of Friday evening. Having said that, it would be nice to meet up.

I’m in. Plans are flexible. I’m up for dinner or a beer meetup if anyone else is interested.

bunkie , Friday is only a partial day , so you might want to bring the Mrs. with you on Saturday so you can see everything with out being rushed : )

Ellen , I like your entrance and exit fee example !! LOL and so true : ) See you there !

Looks like we have some people interested in both Friday night dinner and Saturday night dinner. I’d be happy to organize it. I think Dusty56 will help too as he lives in the area. Right now it looks like Outback Steakhouse on Saturday and we’ll see about Friday.

So, I got the day off on Friday to go to the show. I’ll be out early from NYC to make it in time for the opening of the doors. As I said earlier, I have to be back home that night, so I don’t really have time for dinner but I would be interested in meeting any fellow LJs who plan to attend on Friday. I’ll be wearing my Red Sox cap…

Ellen, sadly my wife has to work that day.

BTW, isn’t there a 99 somewhere nearby? ;-) I used to go to the one in Billerica back when I lived in Mass.

We’ll be there when the show opens too. I just looked at the education schedule and we’ll just have to find a time to meet. I’d say all LJs should wear a rose in their teeth but the thorns always get in the way ;-)
So… do we want to find a time to meet during Friday, Saturday and Sunday for those who won’t be there all three days? There is a very overpriced and crowded cafe inside the hall… we could meet outside there – if it is like last year, we could drool over the Lee Valley hand planes while we wait!
The workshop schedule can be found at
http://www.thewoodworkingshows.com/resources/2NEEducationSchedule2.pdf
Anyone want to take a stab at it? Or we could in the bookstore… or wherever???
