I have a real quick and simple suggestion for those of us that could use less eye strain, better and/or more repeatable accuracy… and supplemental light as well. Not just for jewelers and budding luthiers, these things are just plain good to have on your head. You’ll get so used to it, you’ll go somewhere with it on your head. I’ve been into bifocals for nearly ten years. Lately I found I have to take my glasses off for real close and detailed work. But then I found that this lets me keep right on going when the need arises. (more often than I realized) Mine is very slightly different at three times the price, but I will review it soon. This one seems to be a steal, but unfortunately I found it only after ordering mine from Stuart Macdonald. -- If you're going to stir the pot, think BIG spoon or SMALL boat paddle.
