Topic tags/keywords: tip question trick sander belt sander finishing sanding

My Sears Craftsman 3” belt sander rubber sleeve has slackened a bit and doesn’t seem to want to hold the sanding belt in place so it stays on the wheels when aligning it. Was wondering if anyone has any experience with how to take out the slack without having to purchase a new one – the sleeve is still in good condition, just loose. Ideas/suggestions are welcome.
