Topic tags/keywords: highest scoring football game alamo bowl 2011

The Record in 2001 the GMAC Bowl: 125 total combined points scored.

The 2nd most… TONIGHT Alamo Bowl 2011
Total combined points: 123

Washington: 56
Baylor: 67

Baylor had the Heisman Tophy winner Griffin III … poetry in Passing… and Running!

Baylor jumped out in front at the start… 21 to 0.
Then Washington started to move… with super running & passing… to be slightly ahead at the half.

Second half it was Cat & mouse the rest of the game!
One would score… then the other would score… no pussy footing around… run-pass-scrore! That fast!

It was just plain AWESOME!!

I have never seen a football game like it in my life!!

I think Baylor could have scored again during the last 1 min. 43 seconds of the game… BUT, they just ran the clock out to end it all…

IT WAS A FANTASTIC… UNBELIEVABLE… FOOTBALL GAME!

Keith Price went 23 for 27 passing. 438 yards and ran for 3 td’s and lost.
That figures.
Typical Washington state sports in the past decade…..........

I always thought you got to bring the whole team to your bowl game. How come the defenses didn’t get to come to this one?

(BTW that record was set in a double overtime game)

@muleskinner,

I don’t have the foggiest idea about who can/can’t go to the game…

If the game, last night, had gone into “double overtime”, the existing record would have been SHATTERED!

That was one of the most exciting games I have ever seen… in my LIFE!

Passing by both was SPOT ON… accurate and was true Poetry in Motion.

Running by both was HOT… FAST… performing the impossible time after time getting out of trouble breaking tackles, etc. ... refusing to be tackled!

Linemen by both was excellent… opening holes… and rushing the QB…

AWESOME!!

IMHO, BOTH Teams should have gotten Winning Awards… They BOTH WON!!
