My little friend, how I adore you
You are bright, soft and pretty

You add beauty to all you adorn, how I adore you

Like puppy love you entice me, how I adore you

You are mysterious and alluring, how I adore you

You require so little – a gimlet and driver, how I adore you

Photobucket

But oh so rigid and unforgiving how I ad…cough…..cough….adore you

Like a spoiled child, one little slip, oh how I despise you

So little and soft, so easily lost, oh how I despise you

Like a camlieon, you blend so well, oh how I despise you

Because you are the last, I look and look, oh how I despise you

The screws in my knees now scream because of you, oh how I despise you

You taught me so much, oh how I lo….lik…....you

Never again my little friend will I force you to go where no steel screw has not gone before

Photobucket

Never again my little friend will I use just any driver against your pretty self

Photobucket

Never again my friend will I fret when I drop you

Because you taught me 3 is better than 4——-

Photobucket

oh how I love you.

I think you summed it up. I do believe that I can relate to every line. It is a love/hate relationship and I know I have a few hinges that didn’t quite make it to four screws. Very nicely written.

Betsy,

You are simply wonderful. That was a nice ode!!! It ranks right there with Frank’s Woodwriting Haiku’s.

Well done.
