LJ Christmas presents that I found under my tree!
Someone got lucky here in Denmark and I am happy to say it was me!
This Christmas the postman brought me two presents from the big world out there…
From two of my dear LJ friends!
So I took myself a quiet moment in the Christmas running and sat down to enjoy the unpacking.
As you can see the shape of the first one was making me curious right away since I have seen the shape before on LJ….
It was an obelisk from my friend Jim in the US and yes I had seen it before and even commented on his post!
As a former architect I have a soft spot for the simple shape of the obelisk and with the finish of Jim, the picture of my daughter that he had found and put in the frame, and not to forget the beauty of the wood – I am sold! Yes Jim you stole our hearts here, and I send also warm thoughts from my daughter who also found it to be really beautiful. Thank you Jim, and merry Christmas!
The other pack was from my friend Andy in UK, he and I had a talk about micrometers and the use since I am a novice there. I had bought one for bigger dimensions and thought it was just to be adjusted down when Andy told me I needed more than one… But he came first, and had found a beautiful old English one for me in the most beautiful case.
Now I will spend the time to learn and use it proper and then I am in business of fine measures.
Since I am ‘the vintage architect’ of course I was really touched that he had found me this beautiful old one, and even the click sound makes me happy!
So thank you and a merry Christmas also to you!
So I had a wonderful moment there, full of smiles, and will treasure these gifts from you, thank you.
The warmest of my thoughts and biggest of smiles,
