I recently got a smokin’ deal on a 5hp X5 Unisaw. Now I want to put an outfeed table behind it and I thought I’d ask for some ideas. I think I would prefer a “permanent” one rather than one that lips down or folds up. I need the storage (LOL). So, please share your thoughts and some pics. Thanks!!

Heres a pic of my old shop. I just made a 4’x4’ table for my out feed table for my tablesaw and my bandsaw.

This started out as an out feed table which quickly morphed into a router table. In my shop, which is much smaller than yours, this has become an ancillary bench as I built another outfeed table.

Congrats on the saw. Here’s the one built. I didn’t want to fuss too much with getting the top to align with the table, so I just made the thing really heavy. So far, it doesn’t move. It has adjustable leg levelers that don’t show in the photos. I bet you can just enter outfeed table in the search box and find many projects here on LJ.

My workbench serves as a 12’ long outfeed table. Has worked well for a lot of years. See my shop tour for pics.

Dave, I would build something that also doubles as an assembly table.
Shelves below make for easy storage.

Congrats on the unisaw. :)
