Once in a while, well, quite often really, discussions turn to the quality, or otherwise, of “made in China” goods.

Imagine my horror when I saw on the news yesterday than EDP (that’s Portugal’s only electricity supplier) has been sold to a state owned Chinese company.


So all you people ruing having to pay a few extra bux for that US made orbital sander or whatnot – pity poor me for whom a hand-tool is something with which you operate the on-off switch with your hand!

Serious comments and jokes are equally welcome…

Get a lot of candles. Probably made in China. I feel your pain. I would suggest you move to Brazil, but you’d have to learn a new language. Happy New Year (Feliz Ano Novo).
