I’m making this same chair (larger sized) out of cypress. So far the chairs and footstools are coming along great and they are very pretty – in my opinion. The table is the issue.

I’ve not come close to figuring out how to use Sketchup – so I’ll try to describe what I want to do.

I want to use the same basic design as the table in my previous project—- but I don’t want to use the end pieces. I want to use the tapered legs but without the end pieces.

I’m wondering if I make the four legs and fit them inside the four aprons then use a slat top if that would look ok and be sturdy enough.

I want a square table (24×24) with a finished height of 20”. I was thinking of a 3 inch apron and the legs would taper from 5” to 3”.

I know it’s hard to picture—- but do you think this basic design would be ok?

Thanks for any help!
