I thought this would be a good idea for a LumberJocks fund raiser.
Probably relative to the number of years of woodworking is the volume of woodworking tools, lumber, books, sketchup plans and magazines that we all have. There are a number of these items that we don’t use anymore or may have duplicates of.
I am suggesting a “Auction Forum” where a participant can post a item as a donation to the forum, put a time limit on the item and allow LumberJocks to bid on it. Once the time limit has expired the highest bidder pays LumberJocks through paypal and then the seller is notified that payment in full has been made and is given the shipping address. It is then the seller’s responsibility to ship the item.
It’s that simple and will allow members to help the site that is so informative and also will help the buyer pick up items that they have a need for at what would probably be a fair price.
Just a thought.
