Topic tags/keywords: delta fence replace question

Found the site and think it is great. Lots of talented workers here. I do have a question for all you experts.

I want to replace my fence on a Delta Contractors Table Saw Model 34-444. The fence rail is 44 inches long. The table is 20” wide by 27” deep. I hope that is all that is needed to get me some help.

Please tell me what good fences (even from an older used saw) would work on this. I see a new Delta T2 30 for $147.97 plus $6.50 shipping.

Is that the way to go or could I buy an old saw off CL and use the fence?

Not knowing the reason for change of fence, I can only note that the T2 works well in many cases.
Will your saw still be used as a portable (work site) saw? Depending on use, there are other options. The T2 is still a usable lower cost option.

That fence will fit your saw. I have a 34 -410 . It is a direct bolt on should take 15 minutes to do. Your saw has the round tubes and the front tube slides thru fence assembly. The price is good.

ksSlim I have trouble gettin the old fence to stay true and it gets to me. I am making kitchen cabinets for the downstairs and I want accurate work done. If this is the answer then that is what I will do. The saw is in my shop at home I don’t move it.

ksSlim and mrg,
Here is the link to what I was think of buying.

Thanks for the encouragenent guys. I went to our local Lowes and they matched the price so I bought it there. Paid tax but if I have problems I can talk face to face with somenone.

Another question. Can I extend the fence rail with standard supplies. My old one was 44 inches and I will miss that.
