I am trying to obtain some whitetail deer antler(s) or segments thereof that measure approximately 1.25”-1.75” in diameter. The antler would need to still contain it’s natural color tones and not be bleached out in any way. If you have some older deer antlers that you would like to depart with, i would love to donate whatever monies it is that you are asking. I understand the sale of deer antler is illegal so i will not pay you but I can certainly donate monies for your time and efforts involved in packaging up the material. Also, of course i would reimburse you for your shipping.

Thanks, Chris

I have never heard that it was illegal to sell them.
Ebay has loads of them for sale.

Yeah i understand that there are tons of deer antler for sale on ebay whether or not the sell thereof is illegal primarily is due to what state you reside in. The laws for NC are vaque and can almost be interpreted anyway. Of course wildlife enforcement would lie on the side favoring them. The way the law is written states that one can sell processed parts of animals but can not sell the meat but then the part can not be readily identifiable as ‘said’ part.

I’m not planning on selling any anyway, i just want to make some things out of it for personal sake.

Here, in Alabama, it is illegal to sell antler. But it is not against the law to sell anything made with antler. The law is an attempt to address poachers.

1.25” – 1.75” diameter is large for than anything I have seen in Alabama. I have some antler pieces in my cabinet, some of it cut for pens. How much do you need? Any length desired?

I will be happy to check my stash to see if I have anything that will fit your needs.

The diameter you are looking for would be best found in elk or mule deer antlers. Will that work? If so, I can probably help you. Send me a pm if I can help.

I could possibly use some pieces that are somewhat smaller in diameter for some other venues, that would be great.
