The map doesn’t work.
If you go to the Jocks map, I don’t show up on the map.

the Map became overwhelmed thousands of members ago. You can “refresh” it to find different members but, you are right, it doesn’t show all members.

In the whole Lumberjocks site, as we all have clearly seen, it’s been proven time and time again, we are all a bunch of divergent people with vastly different opinions and personalities. Heck, we can’t even initiate a harmless little thread about our own life experiences without others barging in and turning it into a shouting match. Proximity to Milwaukee? Jeez, it could be your own neighbor here giving everyone verbal bitch-slaps, and you want to meet them in person?? Nahhhhhh. Lumberjocks exists in the virtual world, I prefer to keep it there myself. I do, however, raise a glass to those among us who discovered real-life friends, such as Mads and Dennis Grosen for example. It proves that some members are able to hit it off in real life.

I know a lot of folks post no information about their location – it is all blank.

I think it would be great if folks put in just a zipcode, or at least a state or provence that would be searchable

Certainly the map feature with loading addresses would be overwhelmed.

However I too share Andy’s interest in being able to look up who is in the area, and what kind of work they do without starting a forum.
