New England LJ’s take a gander at this … Woodmizer saw mill for $7500. Im thinkin that if the wife will let me sell her car i could own this bad boy. Think she’d mind walking to work?

The LT30 is the big boy. That’s a little over the price of a new LT10. Lotta hours, though. I wish I could have it.

Remember, it is often better to ask forgiveness then permission. If you already had it sitting in the driveway where her car was could she really refuse you your idea? You just might want to be wearing head protection when she finds out though.

Yea, ive never seen one come up on the craiger in this area before. I soooo want it. Ive got a 14’ trunk of red oak that im hoping has spalted over the last 2 years sitting just off the lawn in the backyard. Nice n shady and plenty damp in that corner of the yard.

Derosa – id need full body gear for sure, like the kind they use when they train attack dogs. “But look honey i can make all this lumber”

I think I was just reading someone’s post on here about how they took the plunge and bought one and had it paid off in no time with the amount of wood they milled..

“But honey, it pays for itself!”

Just be careful, or you might be the one getting milled.

Stretch, I think thin slices of Chris would be a huge hit for the holidays! Just like beef jerky when it dries.

Actually, I think most people would prefer 8/4 slabs live (dead?) edge slabs

Promote her to saw mill manager then she can walk to work. “Pays for its self” that one bit me in the butt a long time ago. :)

I’m going to forward this to my brother. He’s build a house and this would go nicely with his tractor.

Hahaha. Chris, why not build a bandsawmill by yourself? I have one in the build at the parents’ place.
Oh yeah, you have to get a few tools and learn how to weld, but anyway :)

derosa, I think the quote is “it is easier to ask forgiveness than permission. You are saying it is better to ask forgiveness. I think I would need that safety helmet if I thought it were easier. LOL You are in the right field though. So….who is going to buy it? The drive it too far for me.

Actually you can’t sell the dog on EBay. It’s on the list of prohibited items…
