From penn state Industries .

If you want something for a router, check this out:

This turns nearly any router into a closed loop variable speed router where it’s controlled speed – you get a constant speed no matter what the router is doing, up to the limit of the router’s power.

This is DIY territory, because you have to modify the router to add a sensor to the shaft and disable any speed control it has.

The DIY CNC crowd loves this product.
