I was chosen to compete in another Skills USA woodworking competition this year. This years challenge is to make a cabinet and dovetail drawer in a certain amount of time. This will be my last Skills USA competition because I am a senior in high school this year.
Wish me luck! I will let you guys know how I did after its over on Friday.

Good luck in your competition. I am a SkillsUSA National Tech chair for the Occupational Health and Safety competition. Hope you make it there.

Thanks guys, and I hope that I come in first Lew! The only thing I don’t like about these competitions is that I am rushed and judges watch me as I work, which makes me make mistakes.

Well it was another bad year. Last year I missed the bus because they didn’t tell me what time it came. This year I got on the bus 15 minutes early only to find out that it was the wrong bus and I almost went to New York. Then I got on the right bus went on the hour long trip there and found out that they never put my tools on the bus like they were supposed to. So I couldn’t even compete because I didn’t have any tools. Just my luck!

Bummer!

Well, the person who won should thank you, because if you would have had your tool, that trophy was yours!
